Meet Our Team
Upon graduating with a B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from college in 1985; Jon came to the Northern Virginia area. He began his career as a staff accountant located in Tyson’s Corner, VA. As part of Jon’s service in the private sector; he spent two plus years helping develop and maintain private accounting software systems including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules. Jon finished his career as a Controller for a mid-size organization before opening NVB Accounting Services, LLC then Boyd-D’Andrea Group in 2006.
During his career; Jon spent a number of years in the property management industry both in the accounting department and training property management accounting systems to field personal such as Property Managers and their Supervisors. With that, Jon in essence realized that customer service is of the upmost importance to success. He adopts this principal to all his clients and colleagues.
Founder, Managing Director
Bryan graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration in 1982. He moved to the Virginia area soon thereafter working in the automotive field for over 22 years, working in all aspects of the field and leading to controller for many years before joining Boyd, D’Andrea Group in the Spring of 2013.
Bryan is very hands on and very detailed oriented and is our main tax accountant for Boyd, D’Andrea Group. He loves his customers and the complex jobs of new startup companies as well as new challenges and opportunities that he faces on a daily basis.
Bryan is an active member of the National Society of Accountants and National Institute of Bookkeepers as well as being a member of the Moose Lodge, a Mason and an ordained minister. Bryan is an EA (Enrolled Agent) admitted to practice before the IRS. Bryan is also a RTRP (Registered Tax Return Professional).
Managing Partner
Steve is a graduate of N.C. State University, with a B.S. in Computer Science and with 2 years of non-degree studies in Traffic Civil Engineering. After working in Charlotte for Duke Energy, Steve moved to the Research Triangle Area of N.C. to join a large pharmaceutical company as a programmer, systems analyst and project manager. He directed a team in the development and implementation of a large computer information system to store, report, and correlate the company’s research chemical and biological testing data to aid in the discovery of new drugs.
Steve joined Boyd, D’Andrea Group in 2011 and has been a part of the rapid growth in company since then, developing skills in all areas of Quickbooks methodologies. His ability to work closely with scientists and management learned in the corporate environment has been a natural fit in successful personal interactions with business clients at Boyd, D’Andrea Group. Steve is involved with entering and maintaining Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions, communicating with our clients to ensure data integrity and accuracy. He also uses skills from the IT background to provide custom data views and reports requested by clients.
Bookkeeper
After attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Kristina moved to Raleigh, NC and worked for GE Mortgage Insurance in their Loss Mitigation Department for over 10 years where she quickly became one of their Senior Loss Mitigation Specialists saving the company millions of dollars as one of their top negotiators. Reviewing borrower financial statements, tax returns and bank statements were a daily task. It was here that she learned her customer service skills which she has mastered over the years.
After moving to Virginia in 2005, she worked for the Greater Piedmont Area Association of REALTORS as their Director of Membership for 7 ½ years. There she was responsible for all membership related issues, AR/AP, coordinated annual events and helped to run the day to day operations. In May 2014, she joined Boyd, D’Andrea Group as one of our valued bookkeepers.
Bookkeeper
Upon graduation with a certificate in Business Administration. Lynn has held the administrative/financial positions with a broad range of companies, from construction and restaurants, to a large non-profit child care facility. This gave Lynn a variety of experiences on financing, job costing and bookkeeping. She served as a Finance Director for a large non-profit child care facility for ten years before relocating to Northern VA in 2007.
Lynn has been with companies which have gone from manual accounting to computerized accounting systems during her tenure, and she set up and maintained these operating systems for the businesses she was associated with. Lynn has experience with tax filing and preparation, payroll, job costing among other administrative responsibilities.
During Lynn’s career in finance and business administration, she has learned to always make the customer and their needs a priority. Be the person who is proactive as opposed to reactive. No matter the situation, work listen and quantify the clients concerns and needs, they deserve quality service and integrity.
